Oase AquaActiv OptiPond is a product that helps create optimal water conditions within a pond. Sometimes, due to heavy rain, unsuitable fill water, or seasonal changes, the carbonate hardness in the water can drop dangerously low. This can cause unavoidable pH value fluctuations that can endanger the equilibrium of the pond and its inhabitants, and result in poor filter performance. OptiPond can help stabilise the most important parameters such as total and carbonate hardness (GH/KH) as well as the pH value. This helps to prevent hazardous drops in acidity and neutralise ammonia. Additionally, vital minerals and trace elements are added to the water, resulting in an optimum pond climate in which flora and fauna thrive. Fish show their gratitude with healthy growth and beautiful colours.
 
To maintain stable water values, OptiPond should be used regularly. For example, after changing the water, refilling the pond, or heavy rainfall, no pond should be without OptiPond. We also recommend keeping the product on hand so that you can respond quickly to water quality problems and avoid fish loss due to pH related emergencies. OptiPond cannot be overdosed and is particularly recommended in spring and autumn.
 
To apply OptiPond, distribute approximately 100ml of the product for every 1000 litres of pond water over the surface of the pond. Short-term turbidity is normal and disappears again quite quickly. Only apply one dosage within a 24-hour period and check the water values regularly using a water test kit.
